I installed FC-4 into my computer. And it is working fine. But problem
is that when x-server is on then tty terminals are not working by
pressing Ctrl+Alt+F1 to Ctrl+Alt+F6. It show a only a blank black skin.
And when I press Ctrl+Alt+F7, the graphical mode is back. So I change
the default runlevel to 3 from */etc/inittab*, and reboot the computer.
Computer starts in run level 3 and the tty terminals are working without
any problem. But when I start x-server using command *startx* or command
*init 5* then the problem back again. That means if x-server is on, the
tty terminals are not working and it shows nothing but a blank black
skin. So I back to FC-3 again. My Box configuration is given in details
below:
Motherboard: Intel D845 GLVA
RAM: 256 DDR
Processor: Pentium-4 1.9Ghz
HDD: 80+40 GB
After getting problem my box I install FC-4 to my friend's machine. And
it is running without any problem. His machine configuration is almost
same only difference is in motherboard. Motherboard is ASUS.
Can any one help me.
