Err...I beg to differ....GNOME has pretty rigorous Human Interface
Guidelines.  KDE has made HIG more of a focus in the last year.
Freedesktop.org focus' on interoperability.  Accessibility,
interoperability, and things like i10n/l10n are rarely forefront on a
developers minds when they want to scratch a particular itch.  Yet there
are a lot of developers working on such things.

(I think accessibility was left out of that whole "colonization"
discussion, but I digress....)

Its time we stop perpetuating this myth that Open Source/Linux/Free
Software/whatever developers only care about their "own requirements".
