Any microcontroller hobbyists on board ? I basically need to design a parallel to serial convertor to connect a serial printer to the computer parallel port.
I have so many options - Amtel AVRs, PIC, 8051 compatibles... just wanted someone with previous experience to chip in and give me some confidence. I already have the assembly code ready - just designing the hardware is left, altough I have come up with a few schematics..
