If you click on them inside of the email client you are still safe for now. Also, take a look at the actual name of the attachment in your email client BEFORE you save it to disk. If it ends with '.desktop' then you have to be suspicious.
Frankly, there is currently not much of a threat here, but it's just a good habit to check the name of the attachment before saving.
