Well I tried *Empathy* and this time it worked ( with a few glitches).
I*finally got to have voice chat in Linux
* and I am really elated.I had used it before on older versions of Linux
without much success and thats why I was hesistant to use it.

But there are still few more issues to be addressed.
*
1.Empathy uses a lot of bandwidth(really lot) and there is no option to
change the settings (very serious problem).
2.There are no proper notifications for incoming calls or chats (minor
problem).*
*3.If you call your Buddy you will be able to hear his/her voice but he/she
will not her your voice. (Its an annoyance - However this was solved by
asking my buddy to call me, He even remarked that the voice quality was
excellent)*

If these issues are solved then I am sure Empathy will can become a good
replacement to Gtalk.

Besides this I obtained a source of the program termed *Gtalx* *('x' not
'k')*. I managed to compile it. *This program by Joseph Bekes solves most of
the issues faced by Empathy and behaves and looks almost like Gtalk*. Now I
have to voice messengers in a single day from having absolutely zero!
However there is a *problem* with the program, *the guy on the other side
cant hear me*.I haven't solved this issue yet. I have to know if its a
problem with my audio settings or an error while compiling.
