But then what is the difference between the branding names, Pentium Dual Core and Core 2 Duo?
Also I remembered one thing yesterday, that is my friends Desktop with Pentium Dual Core with some E2*** (2.6Ghz) series processor was very slow when compared to my laptop Pentium M (Dothan) Centrino 1.6Ghz. So I am confused with all these, a correct benchmark test is not available anywhere, nor the reliability/stability. But then if it is just the cache and performance will remain same then a 50$ upgrade will be too high. -- Anoop Jacob Thomas Trivandrum http://anoop.caremedia.org --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ "Freedom is the only law".
