The "Core 2" brand is different from an ordinary "Dual Core". The "Core 2" name signifies the "Intel Core microarchitecture" while the generic term "dual core" merely suggests having two cores. In fact, the "Core 2" is/was available in single, dual and quad core configurations. From all the literature/reviews I've seen, I'd strongly recommend the "Core 2" [Duo/Quad] over any other dual core offerings (except for the Core i7, of course.. I don't know anything about the i5 & i3 ones). regs, Syam --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ "Freedom is the only law".
