hi...
i still have the feeling that linux is not going to be user friendly for
another forth coming decade. There are options to make it more user*
friendly, but not much effort is dedicated in making it userfriendly. *may
be its a wrong feeling that the techie community lose its prominence?*no,
there are a billion productive arenas to spend time.

**what ever that can be presented in a *dispersed* way among *1000 or more
lines* in deep seated text files *NOT shown in context menus*/ interactive
dialoges ;* can be shown more readably . what prevents it?. Is a
human being who (opts to / forced by lack of time /different intelligence
type) spend not much in learning syntax and tech jargons not worthy of
using a FOSS operating system??? consider a surgean or an artist.....*
*
*
*if somebody opts to say that the text file kind of operation is better,
please consider the follow:*
*If a text file location or at th least, name is reserved and known, can be
fetched and shown graphically, in a more readable way. the content is in
syntax, the syntax can b: "error handler #### (enter boolean value)"
can be also
presented in UI as "we have this problem : allow / deny in toggle switch +
commit button " .or better.*
*
*
*
*
*
*
*why does it ask me to type the whole long command in an active terminal
window, to mount a "locked up?" ntfs file system (as a result of unsafe
removal from windows OS)? why is this not automated? what is the policy?
this is among the most common issue for the non-technical user, doesnt
canonical have enough staff to sort out priorities? does everybody belive
that doing things in multiple steps, not easily grabbed by common public is
G R E A T ? Confession: i did this, in front of my girlfriend, and she was
amazed, i am doing this in the 'macho' way. Playing with black terminals she
saw in science movies with white macho font with a blinkin insertion point.
now the situation changes : every time she hands over her portable hardisk
from her win platform, i am redoing this "macho" way. only difference : this
time,her expresion was P I T Y ! *
*
*
*let there be a macho distro which speaks a lot od text an d makes wild
alarms and screams, but i like my OS to be of feminine gender (gender, not
sex :P )*
*
*
*now there may be a solution to the above problem in one step, which i am not
aware of, [ there is a solution for everything] i am not specific about the
event, its the attitude to create and maintain such odd ways.*

*windows also share the troble in similiar cases, to enable a taskmanager in
a virus infected system where the key combination wont work, u have to
change "enable taskman=1" in a policy window in text form. (am
not Linux specific , its just usability). if any body feels frustrated,
please rethink why. If the reason is a view that "such guys who cant spend a
minute on our precious code may go to hell", i cant say you are wrong, but
those men would be forced to migrate to other arrangements (i said
arrangments, not windows or any other 'hated' platforms)*
*
*
*
*
yes or not, i would understand it is somebodies vested interest ( Chathathu
keechakan# aanenkil konnathu pazhaya....avan thanney :D ) to maintain it
difficult.
*keechakan is the *publicaly* *declared* enemy of Bhima.

Please Consider Firefox browser as a model.
