anto.. what u r doing in short is creating another distro.. what we r doing is creating a custom repo dvd which contains not only packages but manuals and other hand picked stuff which lets the user experience "ubuntu".. the addon dvd as i call it comes handy when installing ubuntu on a friends comp, installing ubuntu in schools..
we r just installing software on an ubuntu system n not changing anything.. all the software we install is from the official ubuntu repos only.. so if he has an internet connection the update manager will update the packages we install.. if u r talking about how to update ubuntu with no internet connection, there is a great app called "keryx".. we r including the app in our dvd.. we r also supporting the development of the app in every way we can.. -- "Freedom is the only law".
