/** since you are incapable of understanding what is top posting and why you should not do it, how can you explain anything to anyone? **/
/** Bleh[1]: Please do not top post and please chop off old signatures when you are quoting past mails. **/ I am extremely sorry for top posting.. kenneth.. i understood top posting thanks your guidance earlier.. Now this is a careless mistake on my part, and i apologize for that.. /** I would beg to differ on your opinion, we cannot associate open source with anything peculiar or particular like 'strategic mindset'. Its a way of life...the choices some of us have made..And I strongly oppose generalizing on basis of gender or 'whatever'. It's just that its a male dominated society where in we believe that we are superior, which is quite quite incorrect. **/ I am not talking of male superiority.. i am of the opinion that no one can be superior in all aspects over others.. Everyone have their unique strength and weakness.. Infact, women are superior in many of the aspects than men.. so no question of supporting male domination here.. /** Open source needs open minds and whoever has it will be successful. There are lots of successful women in FOSS world, especially in area which need creative, patient minds. As far as I am exposed to Ubuntu project, there are lots of women participating in higher levels of managing the project. I also know few womens who are more like brand names in Usability and HCI area, especially in KDE circles. We also have women from India contributing to the Linux kernel project itself. We have lots of Indian women involved in Localization projects. **/ Regarding women's participation in FOSS, i am not generalising any thing.. i just expressed the underlying reason, that i had opined.. There is no second thought women should be encouraged to participate.. Btw, i am a fan of "Alolita Sharma" who writes regularly at LFY.. we can see her blog at http://opensourcebuzz.blogspot.com/ However, the fact that there is only negligible women members participating in the discussion here, cannot be overlooked.. Hope, i am not top posting now..
