You have misunderstood my problem. I don't have any issue with booting the eeePC off of a LiveUSB pen drive. In fact, my eeePC is booted up with Linux Mint 5r1 off of a USB pen drive as I write this message. This eliminates the possibility that the image on the pen drive could be corrupted. Using the *same* pen drive, I am unable to boot another system that I have integrated using the DG945GCLF miniITX mobo that has an integrated Atom 230 cpu. This system does *not* have any hard/optical disk but for the USB pen drive inserted into an external port. The BIOS detects the USB pen drive as a HDD block device and I have set the BIOS to boot from USB block devices. It does boot but drops down to an initramfs (busybox) prompt. I hope I have clarified my problem. -- Arun Khan _______________________________________________ To unsubscribe, email [EMAIL PROTECTED] with "unsubscribe <password> <address>" in the subject or body of the message. http://www.ae.iitm.ac.in/mailman/listinfo/ilugc
