This is encouraging. May I ask what has been your experience with this board besides the network and sound issues? A dual core Atom cpu was announced recently available with the DG945GCLF2 motherboard; the L2 cache has been raised to 1MB on each core. I was thinking of trying different distros and plan to download the openSUSE LiveCD and CentOS LiveCD. > did you try root=/dev/sda1 (or the equiv partition in the USB disk?) > also rootdelay=3 (wait for 3 seconds for the kernel to detect the usb > disk) in the kernel parameters? Will try this as well. BTW, I have an external CD-DVD/ROM. I removed the USB pen drive and tried booting from the LiveCD (Linux Mint 5r1) same problem. I will also trying connecting a CDROM directly on the IDE port and see if the problem persists with LiveCDs.
