do you have some objection to getting feedback > > The ilugc.in is not yet a completed product. hence what ever you see may or > may not work. I dont know how people talk about some thing which wasnt > released for public. how can you put something in production when it is not working properly. Do you realise you are using the ilugc name? Why do you not develop on your local machine - or even on a staging server? > > I can assure you that ilugc.in is the site under implementation of what we > want. It will be soon released before the end of this month. it has been released and is sitting on the internet and hundreds of people are using it. I suggest you switch it off. Further I feel your attitude is not in tune with the spirit of free software. Many people are coming forward to contribute, but you are refusing their help. If you develop in a proprietary manner, the site will be unsafe and frequently hacked. Ilugc is one of the biggest and best LUGs in the world and you have no right to spoil our name like this. Every one will laugh at us for putting up a half baked site in production. And you also have no right to build a site according to your own design without consulting the list. If you are serious about this, start a thread and ask for opinions. I do not consider your site the official site of ilugc, and I strongly object to your misusing the group name in this manner. I request you to hand over the domain to Bharathi or Raman and we will take it from their in a true FOSS manner. As previously mentioned several times we have plenty of space on NRC-FOSS server and can host a site as Vamsee has suggested. Or a VPS costing 20$ a month, or even reliable shared hosting like webfaction which is even cheaper. -- regards kg http://lawgon.livejournal.com _______________________________________________ To unsubscribe, email [email protected] with "unsubscribe <password> <address>" in the subject or body of the message. http://www.ae.iitm.ac.in/mailman/listinfo/ilugc
