Ah. There the blinkers "value of degrees" of software industry in the open now. Considering value is just a perception, The so called IT and ITES industries have pulled a condom of perception of "value of degrees" over itself so much so that it refuses to trust and value its own experience. Ask PS Deodhar, Founder Chairman of Aplabs, leading India Electronics company having its own R&D. Their ROI has been Dismal On the other hand Software industry has been investin more on how to restrict access to technology to the people. Look at the case of Read-and-print-only-once e-mail. There are none as of day in India because of DRM - the draconic Legistlation which RMS has been shouting about for almost a decade. Above, IMHO.
