I have not tried it yet with the newer ones. Did not have much luck with my decade old HP 5MP either (about 4 years back). In retrospect, I think it was mostly due to the operator (worked out of his home) who refilled it. The cartridges for the newer models have embedded chips. There are a couple of franchises (Cartridge World to name one) in Mumbai that claim compatibility even for the newer cartridges or money back. This is for b/w though. For my printer cartridges, the cost differential is about Rs. 400 between refilled and original, so I am guessing they probably have some OEM alliance with the manufacturers. > Our office HP Laser Jet Color cost Rs 20-25k, but original color toner > is Rs 10k per set. There is one CW [1] store in Chennai, you can give it a try <http://cartridgeworld.in/storedesc.aspx?storeid=59> [1] Disclaimer - referenced FWIW and without prejudice. I have no commercial alliance with CW. HTH, -- Arun Khan _______________________________________________ ILUGC Mailing List: http://www.ae.iitm.ac.in/mailman/listinfo/ilugc
