Does this happen while there is packet transfer over the connection?
or there is some idle time out setting?

It could the service provide perhaps :(

Try  "heartbeat"  ping to a friendly site on the WAN (see -i option of ping).
If this does not help then contact service provider's tech support;
from your log the problem does not appear to be on your side.
