If you are using QT based application; installing Netconnect software in GNU/Linux will create issues. Any QT based app may not work. But your netconnect GUI will work. I tried it in Fedora 16. Finally I removed the software to work with QT based apps. I am facing some similar issues. Exactly at 09.58 P.M my net will be disconnected.
