This, the government is saying, is the first such effort in a central ministry, though states such as Kerala and Tamil Nadu have adopted Linux in different ways. The officers in MIT are test-driving BOSS so that they can suggest changes that will help fine tune the real development effort going on at CDAC. We are trying to check if there are other projects at the CENTRE which have involved using Linux by government officials. One project I have heard about was started during the BJP government's time by Sudheendra Kulkarni. Does anyone know if it was actually implemented / still exists? There was also a Linux-related project in the rashtrapati bhavan - but does anyone know if this come to anything? many thanks, Pragya ------------------------------------------------------- -- Raj Mathur [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://kandalaya.org/ GPG: 78D4 FC67 367F 40E2 0DD5 0FEF C968 D0EF CC68 D17F It is the mind that moves _______________________________________________ ilugd mailinglist -- ilugd@lists.linux-delhi.org http://frodo.hserus.net/mailman/listinfo/ilugd Archives at: http://news.gmane.org/gmane.user-groups.linux.delhi http://www.mail-archive.com/ilugd@lists.linux-delhi.org/
