hi,

am sharing with the community, a conversation i had with raj about 10 days
ago,
on download-and--install apps for mobile phones, such as a guitar-tuner.
you can hold up a guitar or a sitar or any other instrument to a mobile
phone,
and using the guitar-tuner app, with the phone's earpiece (mic), tune your
instrument rather precisely.

well, i just discovered the fabulous openmoko [www.openmoko.org] intends to
allow end-users to port and use such guitar-tuner apps.

you may find more here [read through the story, more towards the end]

so anybody in the ILUG-d who has, or has ordered, an openmoko?
apparantly, the Neo1973 mobilephone that it runs on, can also dual-boot into
windows, according to FIC.

:-)
