Shipping price is too high because of low volume of devices. $120 is not a normal shipping price you pay. Anyways i know that one device has been ordered and I will be able to get my hands on the device for limited period. Will show it around at ilug meet when it arrives. > choose to port it to. > including, but not limited to digital cameras, > dvd-players, or any > other convergence device. all thanks to liberal > licensing and strong > encouragements from the openmoko founders. You have diverted again. Openmoko is a distribution, base platform is openembedded http://www.openembedded.org/ . You can run openembedded on almost any kind of computer/device (anything with a microcontroller or a processor). There are some other successful openembedded based distros for mobile phones like angstrom http://www.angstrom-distribution.org/ . Btw anstrom works out of the box on neo (i have run it on qemu, as well as there are confirmed reports of running angstrom on physical device). regards vk Engineers normally have problem with every solution. If not they have a solution in search of a problem. Disclaimer The facts expressed here belong to everybody, the opinions to me.
