The point is not  to remove it,

So why not add references ( valid ones ) to the article? There have been
events in the past ( named Freedel ), so there is lot to be put in there.
And ( perhaps ) rename the article form "freed" to "freed.in" ( suggests
Anupam ). So that it becomes factual, notable, verifiable with external
sources cited. BUT not `remove` it.
