I think, I will something like this. But, earlier, I have seen that to
worsen the situation, though that was for the compiled 'mplayer' or
'lame' in place of the ones from the distro-release. 

Do you know this solution has worked for the OOo in Ubuntu Feisty
without giving some even bigger glitch?
