Hi, I have a very simple point to make here. I respect the opinions of Raj, Gora, and all others, but my only point is that: Why do we need to have an argumentative battle on this topic every time someone spams the list. Why can't there just be a list of posting rules (which I believe may exist as a "wiki" page), along with the reason why or why not sending social networking / other invites to the list is banned, and the repercussions of that action, with the complete philosophy explained therein. Every time a user makes such post, then we may just point him to the "rules / philosophy of the list" page and whatever punishment.
Seeing linkedin / hi5 / facebook invitations on a public linux user group mailing list is irritating in itself but the long FAR more irritating is the long ensuing debate that it follows on this list. -Angad _______________________________________________ ilugd mailinglist -- [email protected] http://frodo.hserus.net/mailman/listinfo/ilugd Archives at: http://news.gmane.org/gmane.user-groups.linux.delhi http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/
