Following are the steps I followed to install. 1. I installed orca, festival. 2. Executed 'orca' on terminal, which asked me few questions. It asked me to logout, and I refused as I don't use GNOME. 3. And now to start screen reader functionality, I started 'orca' in terminal, which opens a pop-up window. 4. In Orca preferences, I've noticed Festival was chosen as synthesizer. 5. And after this I started Firefox which started playing sounds. Thats it. FYI, following are the versions of packages: orca 2.28.3-1 festival 1.96beta-2 firefox 3.6-2 HTH - -- Ashish SHUKLA -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v2.0.14 (GNU/Linux) iEYEAREDAAYFAkuQqs8ACgkQHy+EEHYuXnRabgCgpxbd+g15Olgc04kh63F2Gzkh 3o8AoPOZ9FV280U34GlF0OWloTEhgtAi =4fC3 -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- _______________________________________________ Ilugd mailing list [email protected] http://frodo.hserus.net/mailman/listinfo/ilugd
