However on running it i find fire vox processes the voice on a server somewhere and hence there is a long gap before the text starts. This is bearable however firevox imposes a 1000 word limit so that makes it downright painful and one has to keep selecting and reselecting text. The whole idea is to select a long document and have it play while you are cooking or playing with the baby. Any ideas for straightforward text to speech alternatives that dont impose such restrictions?
