Bad idea. If you have to clobber lines, cd /etc/mail ; edit
sendmail.mc ; make sendmail.cf
Don't touch sendmail.cf directly as far as possible.

Theoretically, yes. However I believe VSNL mail servers will not
relay mail for clients unless the envelope From address in the message
is of the form <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>. I could be wrong, can someone confirm
this?
You could also try the MTNL dial-up mail servers, as far as I remember
they will relay mail any and all messages for MTNL dial-up users.
