almost true. there are some tools that have come up at planetpdf.com and
pdfzone.com that take on acrobat. the only place adobe exclusively shines is
in pre-press quality pdf files, and is further aided by specialised third
party filters that can sometimes cost more than the acrobat software.
at cnet.com/downloads, have also found various types of pdf writers that do a
quick job, for those under win doze.
meanwhile, bishan could try and define all the URLs and hyperlinks in the
document first, and then attempt creating a PDF file to see if that works.
M$ has announced XDoc in its forthcoming release of M$office, which is
supposed to be a head-on competitor to acrobat and PDF. am watching with
bated breath, this will be quite a battle. popcorns, lights out, cells on
silent mode.
