Hi! in connection with my previous mail regarding getting my Acer laptop to connect to the net using wireless DataOne router, I have finally been able to do so after installing the ndiswrapper drivers. However if I try to set a WEP key on the router interface by opening the 192.168.1.1 page in a browser, the wireless gets disconnected. Now if I try to enter the same key in network-admin it is not being accepted. I have a few questions regarding this, kindly treat me as an absolute newbie. 1) Is it necessary to set a WEP (64 or 128) key? 2) If it is, then how do I go about doing it? and lastly 3) Should I connect using DHCP or should I set static IP addresses?
