But you won't consider paying $150 in six months? And in all likelihood,
there won't be another "paid" upgrade for six more months.
This isn't much different than the upgrade from 7.5 to 7.6 You got the
7.5.3 and 7.5.5 updates for free; then you had to pay for 7.6
Yes, it's annoying that you are forced to pay for a CD, rather than having
the option to download the update. However, you don't HAVE to purchase the
CD. Nobody's forcing you to buy this update any more than they forced your
initial OS X purchase.
But feel free to send your feedback via the Mac OS X page. Lately Apple
seems to be changing their minds somewhat if enough people complain, and
with September a ways off, there's plenty of time for that to happen.
