I upgraded software today and created a nightmare. My brother-in-law works
for Apple in Austin TX and suggested since I had not upgraded anything since
I bought my Indigo 350Mz 128mb 10 months ago that I do so. It was easy for
him to say since he lives 2 hours away and I can't kill him from long
distance. I let the Apple updater do the dirty deed while I was at the
local library. I think it updated CarbonLib to 1.3.1, the Multi user (?),
URL addressing(?) and one other thing I can't remember. Now when I click on
a desk top icon it erases the name and puts a string of #################
signs in its place and yhe chutoy tone goes off multiple times and the app.
or HD or whatever I click on does not open. I am running OS 9.0.4. What
have I done????????
