The system heap is where a lot of things live.  I believe Extentions and the 
system call the heap their home.

Whoa!  Now that's ususual.  It could be a memory leak of some sort (i.e. i 
had a app that would slowly choke off the machine by dumping something in 
the heap and not taking anything out)

TechTool Light can show the memory requested of the heap for all extentions 
installed.
