How is that you pay $49/month, I'm in Seattle and pay $40, do you have anything extra? I have two macs and a PC hooked up to a SMB baricade router. Works wonderfully, or has since they got their network running. Had problems during the transititon from excites network to AT&T's. Your speed depends entirely on how many people in your area are running of the same node. The more people with cable the slower the connection since cable is a shared line. My speeds are fairly good but there are some high traffic times when it slows to a veritable crawl.
