The current version is 5.0 so I'd get that if you can, otherwise get version 4.0. I'd stay away from any earlier versions. I started out with 2.1 then 3 and then 4.0. I never could get 2.1 to run fast enough; 3 was better, and 4 is the best. I've heard that 5 is even better than 4. If you still have any Windows installation cds, just get the DOS version of VPC 5.0 and add what ever flavor of Windows you desire. It is much cheaper that way.
