I am wondering exactly what can happen when somebody does manage to break into your computer when you have 24/7 on-line connections ?
What information can they gather from your computer, what kinds of files can they access and what kind of damage can they realistically do ? Has anybody here ever had this happen to them ? Does OS X have more security features to prevent the extent of damage by a hacker or is personal firewall software the only way to really prevent any kind of damaging access through cable modem or ASDL ?
