I'm tryuing to help a friend with some computer problems. She's a teacher
and most of the people in her school are really dense about Macs. It took
me 60 to show her how to open up attachments recieved with email messages in
Eudora. That is something none of the so called "tech" people in her school
could figure out. She literally freaked when I did that.

Anyway, how do you boot up when there is a blinking question mark? I know
it means that the computer doesn't recognize her system folder, but what
are the keystrokes to get her back to the desktop (I had this happen a few
times but forgot). What should she do afterwards? She said they started
getting the question mark on bootup after one of her kids installed
something relating to the KidPix program. I don't remember the specific
steps to take.

tnx
