Dear Bryce - I ordered generic ink caridges (Chinese-made, by the way) from
dotplus.com in Nashua, NH and used them steadily in my Epson 740 for about a year.
Suddenly, the printer no longer printed after going through its usual command
motions & upon my removing the black ink tank I noticed that there'd been
significant leakage near the printer rollers. Four or five tries with all the
printer utilities would not allow a clear pattern to be printed. In other words,
the nozzles where gummed up & I would have had to spend nearly the cost of a new
printer to get the thing repaired. I informed dotsplus & never got a response,
just more emails advertising their specials. So it really is a case of caveat
emptor. It would be nice to get a heads-up as to which non-brand-name cartidges
are reliable & wont gum up the works.
