like his email says....... iMac (Summer 2001). when running disk utilities, you should ALWAYS boot to the disk utility CD anyway; any problem serious enough to merit a disk util beyond OS X's 'Disk Utility' will require unmounting the hard drive to fix, and you can' t do that while booted to the HD in either OS 9 or OS X. considering this, it's pretty irrelevant what OS is on the disk. -- The iMac List is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
