Hey Y'all, I'm new to the list and seek advice on my inherited imac rev. b. I went ahead and purchased a harmony g3 500mz w/ firewire upgrade card as well as a 256mb upper slot ram chip and 128mb lower slot chip. I assembled all parts following the directions quite carefully.
Upon power-up, I anxiously waited through the initial 30-45 seconds described in the directions. That moment quickly passed and now I don't know what to think. After hearing an initial elongated beep, she went to ticking like a time bomb. Any clues? I performed the firmware update prior to installation of the upgrades. Outside of not seating the new card correctly, which I doubt, I'm incertain of the problem. Should I shut her down and try to power-up a second time?
