I'm a Rev. B owner who made basically the exact same upgrades (just a bit more RAM, though, if you can believe it)...
So you made both upgrades at once? Yikes. Always try them in stages, because when something goes wrong like this, it's hard to tell what the culprit could be. Also, what OS are you using -- 9 or X? Do you see a happy/ or sad Mac on the screen? If in X, do you see lots of text scrolling across the screen? Do you get a grey screen, or a blue screen with a spinning beachball if in X? Also, describe the sounds a bit more: After the beep, I take it you didn't hear the succession of smaller system beeps that means the Harmoni card is finishing the upgrade of your firmware? It could be the seating of the card, it could be the seating of the RAM, it could be a bad Harmoni (which I doubt, I haven't heard bad things from others about them), or maybe the firmware didn't seat? Can you start from an OS CD (stick it in the drive, restart while holding "c")... -Steve Sobek On 8/16/02 2:32 AM, "Paul Sullivan & Rachel Kempel" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > Hey Y'all, > > I'm new to the list and seek advice on my inherited imac rev. b.
