Hello,

My colleague is using G4 flat panel i-Mac, 700 MHz, loaded with 640 MB
memory, and running OS X 10.1.5 (Japanese).

He's using IE version 5.2.1(Japanese). When he downloads a PDF file, it
immediately opens in Preview and as try as he might to save it as a PDF
file, it doesn't work, meaning the icon won't change to the Acrobat icon.

I'm using a DP G4 500 MHz, running OS X 10.1.5 (English) and I cannot
duplicate the problem. That is, when I download a file (using the same
version of IE, except it's English), the file immediate opens in Acrobat.

There's no way of disabling Preview, short of removing the application, I
think, which I don't want to do anyway. Would the knowledgeable ones
please instruct me on how to get Preview to save the file as Acrobat PDF
document?

Tia,

Kay Narumi
Tokyo, Japan
