Jeremy is 100% correct in his posting.

You will dispute nothing here. I am an "ex-Apple employee" and I know that
this is not true. Apple has been taking them down for years, and do so at
a regular interval. I have acquaintances that have received papers from the
FBI for serving the manual links, so there is no argument.

This is a LEM list, not a court of law, and I am the Nanny along with
Vicenzo. There is no debate and this is not a democracy. Do not post a
link to the service manuals here, and please do not even post a direct
request. Be subtle.

Drop it now. Do not post a link to Apple's Service manuals on this list.
Period. There is no debating this. If you need a service manual then post
a VAGUE request for off-list assistance or something. Besides, the posting
that this originated from included a link to Wanadoo which is against the
TOS, and has been shut down by Apple.

This comes up every six months or so. Someone argues the point and someone
else posts a link that is valid...and then Apple finds out and kills the new
links. This behavior has even made it more difficult for me personally. I
have to log into a secure site and enter passwords to access the manuals and
I am an authorized service provider. Take it somewhere else. If you post a
link publicly Apple will kill that server. You are shooting yourselves in
the foot.
