Wow! How did you get Jaguar to install on that. In my case the Jaguar 
install complained and would not let me install on a partition larger 
than 8 GB.

As far as my trials-n-errors tell me, OS 9 has to be installed first, 
or have another partition it can be installed on later - yet I had 
trouble getting OS 9 to boot from a second partition. The solution in 
my case was to install OS 9 first on the first partition.

Start over?
I don't know what model of iMac you have, but if there is a way you can 
use two disks then try that. If you have an iPod, connect that, and put 
OS 9 in that to boot your iMac into Classic.
