Hi

I have just replaced the CD drive in my Rev D (9.1, 288, 6g) with an
internal MCE 16X burner, and it's not being recognised

I've downloaded all driver software from MCE, 9.1 authoring support and disk
burner stuff from Apple site, put the old CD drive back in, it reads
perfectly, but the new one - zero.

This machine still has original firmware it came with (June '99) and I know
it's been discussed at length previously, will 4.1.9 work or should I
install 1.2? I have the feeling I'm missing something simple.

I live in rural Australia a long way from anyone who even knows what a Mac
is.

TIA, John
