If you are using OS 9 the only programs that will be faster are Photo Shop and other heavy graphics programs, in OS X The G4 Should be faster, However, if The G4 you are using has the PCI ATI RAGE 128 graphics card and not the AGP ATI RAGE 128 graphics card, the two computers will seem just as fast.
