Yes - checked this. No dialtone until after the final entry. Zterm could not make contact with the modem while I was on-line so I could not check whether it would respond to an "AT". I would be intrigued to find out whether any other dial-up users with a similar system to mine have the same problems with the default script. For all I know, it may be a UK thing, or simply an incorrect S-register entry. If I can dig out the script that came with 10.1.5 I might also have a look at that (it may have had problems maintaining a connection but it always dropped the line successfully with no errors reported).
