Not too long ago, I replaced the 6GB HDD with a 120GB HDD in my iMac
Rev.D and installed from scratch OS9 and Jaguar. Basically here is what
I discovered.

1) First Try
At first I partitioned the drive into three; (a) 7.9GB, (b) 6GB, and
(c) remaining 100+GB.
Installed Jaguar (OS X 10.2) into partition-a.
Installed OS9 into partition-b.
I was unable boot successfully into OS9 after the second time. Setting
the Startup Disk to OS9 in partition-b worked only once.

2) Second Try
I partitioned the drive into two; (a) 7.9GB, and (b) remaining 100+GB.
Installed Jaguar into partition-a.
Installed OS9 into partition-b.
Still I was unable boot successfully into OS9 after the second time.
Setting the Startup Disk to OS9 in partition-b worked only once.

3) Third Try
I partitioned the drive into two; (a) 7.9GB, and (b) remaining 100+GB.
Installed OS9 into partition-a.
Installed Jaguar into partition-a, optioning to keep OS9 intact and not
migrate users.
It works, can set Startup Disk to OS9 or OSX in partition-a and boot up
fine.

This is probably not the best technical advice, infact it isn't, this
is just a recap of my experience on day. I hope it helps shed some
light. My best advice... have some time set aside for trial and error.
