Actually, even on my old iMac Rev B which was slow as molasses in January in OS X, I haven't looked back once since making the transition. I FAR prefer OS X over Classic, despite the slower speed. The ONLY time I book into OS 9 nowadays is to play a few games of Starfleet Academy. :) I also occasionaly boot inso OS 9 if I need to move/modify a file that OS X won't let me. That happens EXTREMELY rarely (hasn't happened once, in fact, since I got this flat panel iMac in April). What version of Mac OS X are you running? Have you made the transition to Jaguar yet? I understand that versions of OS X prior to Jaguar didn't utilize any hardware acceleration for the fancy animations in the interface, while Jaguar does. If you haven't made the transition to Jaguar, maybe doing so will help kick your speed in OS X up a notch. John A.
