Thanks to those who have provided information. I've acquired a used original
OS 9.2.1 CD over the weekend and installed 9.2.1 into a 22GB partition in my
Rev. D iMac. I was then able to start Classic in OS X.

Here's another question... why can't I boot my iMac up in OS 9 (I just get a
grey screen)?
I have selected it as the Startup Disk. The OS 9 system folder appears to be
OK (has smiling face system folder icon). It's not that I need to boot up in
OS 9, but it would be a 'nice-to-have'. My iMac came with OS 8.6.

Any ideas, anyone?
Does the HD format (Standard vs Extended) have anything to do with this?

Regards,
Kevin
