dave Well, my SmartDisk (self-powered) caused a message to appear telling me there wasn't enough power, so I'm still letting all of these possibilities sink in. Are USB storage drives notoriously bad while other peripherals are not? Do i have an Apple approved bad brand (SmartDisk) or what I superstitously suspect sometimes, bad computing karma?
