I have a new iMac, OS 10.2.3, that sometimes freezes mid-way in booting;
otherwise, the system is healthy and functional. I used Apple Utilities:
apparently one files is missing and a few mismatch indentity numbers
that the utility could not fix. I tried to install over with my OS 10.2
available CD, but of course, could not. Is there a way to by-pass this
restriction?  Thanks, Reza
